Design, Bitches is an architecture office that partners with unique clients to create meaningful spaces. We are equal parts creative risk takers and optimistic pragmatists. We are designers and creative thought partners who navigate the shifting landscape of building with a visionary aesthetic. Over the past decade, we’ve built up a portfolio of multi-hyphenate spaces, next generation retail and hospitality, originative single family residential environments, and spaces to dance, display and perform in. We work with creative entrepreneurs to realize new and highly social building concepts. We love challenging assumptions about how different spaces look, perform and feel. With over 20 years of experience in the field, our female-founded office is uniquely positioned to offer a combination of construction and development expertise at a range of scales.
Collaboration is part of our DNA. Beyond our core team, we are grateful to be part of a wider community of fabricators, engineers, artists, builders, and plant and garden people.
Design, Bitches is licensed to practice architecture in CA, OR & TX, and is WBE, WOSB, SB (Micro) and DBE certified.
ARCHITECTURE
Whether the project is ground up construction, adaptive re-use, commercial or residential, we deliver clever solutions to complex problems. We guide our clients through every stage of the process from concept to completion.

CREATIVE DIRECTION AND branding integration
We work with our clients to determine the overall creative direction of their projects. Architecturally, we communicate brand in a way that is subtle and impactful rather than heavy handed. We offer branding integration for existing graphic language and design services for building this strategy from the ground up.

INTERIOR DESIGN
We see interior design as a seamless extension of architecture. Our clever use of materials and attention to color has offered us a reputation as thoughtful designers with a playful sensibility.

outdoor design
As a California-based studio, we think of outdoor spaces as an extension of the architecture. We work to maximize the use of a site so that every bit of space is integrated into the life of the project. We are passionate about living with nature and the importance of being attuned to and caring for our environment.

CONCEPT DESIGN
We understand that not all projects need all elements at the same time. For that reason, we offer limited Concept Design Services to direct how new ideas might take shape from the very beginning. This enables us to help you navigate the complex, shifting business landscape and create visualizations for fundraising.
