Location: Los Angeles, CA
Size: 182 rooms
For our first hotel project, we re-invented an icon. The 182-key tower has a fanciful stone façade, breathtaking views and a layered history worthy of its cinematic legacy. Located in the heart of the theater district adjoining The United Theater on Broadway, the flagship location for STILE DTLA is a star character in the re-birth of downtown.
The eclectic design represents what makes LA unique – from contemporary art & craft to iconic sunsets, historic architecture and spectacular views. We are a city that welcomes wanderers, and the hotel does that in its own unique way. Surfaces from the hallway floors to the lobby ceiling are imbued with playful patterns and a riotous color palette. Soft textures create a cozy sink-into-me feel and combine with lacquer and reflective materials to add a touch of glamour.
The rooftop pool deck is a study in light and contrast, with a revamped pool lined by classic 60s aqua tiles surrounded by terra-cotta concrete, custom zellige tile-topped game tables, colorful planters filled with natives, aromatics and citrus and an ombre wall that stands out day or night against the blue of the sky.
