Sunset Junction is the apex of this history, both geographically as the former crossing of two major Los Angeles train routes and culturally as a site of protest and cornerstone of community gathering. Sandwiched between two major east-west thoroughfares of Los Angeles, Cloud Loop inhabits the prominent point where two otherwise parallel roads connect. It is an edge condition between commercial and residential neighborhoods surrounded by movement- vehicular, bike & pedestrian traffic. It aims to tie these two together, forming an identity for a new plaza in Silver Lake. Cloud Loop provides an intersection of stimulated & calm, translucent & shimmery, permeable & solid, temporal & constant.
